Last weekend on June 18, 2022, Dr. Lena gave a lecture on the diagnosis and treatment of stroke and it was for the students of the Doctorate course at Dongguk University Los Angeles which is a well-known Acupuncture school in California. Her lecture was held in English for a total of 6 long hours from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m., but it was such a fun time full of energy with the whole class.

She has frequently given lectures and presentations about stroke management and care to both the general public and the medical community. And this opportunity of introducing how to care for stroke patients with Korean Medicine to the acupuncturist colleagues in the U.S.A was another big honor for us.

It is critical to emphasize that Korean Medicine Treatment (Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine) should be started as soon as feasible for treating stroke-related problems.

Various clinical trials and studies have indicated that patients who begin using herbs and acupuncture as soon as feasible after a stroke see considerable improvements in symptoms and recovery rates. Students also discussed our clinic experiences with stroke patients and studied recently published research on stroke management so that they could get one step closer to evidence-based practice.

Dr. Lena highly advises that our colleague acupuncturists gain sufficient understanding of how to manage stroke patients with their symptoms and guide the patients to overcome the stroke.

With the consent of a patient who has been treated at our clinic for a year, we were able to film a video of the treatment and exercise rehabilitation and share her case with students. Thanks to the patient who readily agreed to film her testimonial and treatment sessions. In addition to this, with the help of 3 patients who are presently receiving care at our hospital and 5 patients who have received care in the past, Dr. Lena was able to impart knowledge convincingly.
